01Agreement
kords.in is operated by Web Accuracy ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use kords.in.
You must be at least 13 years old to use kords.in.
02What the service does
You give kords.in a piece of audio. We analyse it and show you the chords, key, tempo and beat positions we detected, along with chord shapes for guitar, ukulele and piano, and tools for practising along with it.
The analysis is our best estimate, not a transcription certified by the artist. Detection is very good but not perfect, particularly on dense mixes, unusual tunings and heavily processed recordings. We show you only what we actually detected — we do not invent chords to fill gaps — but you should use your ears and treat the result as a starting point.
03Your account
- Give us an accurate email address. You will need it to reset your password.
- Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- One account per person. Do not share an account to get around plan limits.
- Tell us promptly at support@kords.in if you think someone else has got into your account.
04Your uploads and copyright
Only upload audio you have the right to use. That means music you made, music you own, music you have licensed, or music you are permitted to use for private study in your country. You are responsible for this, not us.
Uploading a track to kords.in does not give you any rights in the underlying music. Analysing a recording does not make the song yours, and nothing we produce is a licence to perform, record, distribute or sell it.
You keep all rights in whatever you upload. You grant us only the narrow permission we need to run the service: to store the file, convert it to a smaller format, analyse it, and play it back to you. We do not use your uploads to train anything, we do not share them, and we do not make them available to other users.
The chord charts, diagrams and exports the service produces are yours to use for your own playing, teaching and study.
If you believe something on kords.in infringes your copyright, write to support@kords.in with enough detail to identify the work and where it appears. We will investigate and remove infringing material promptly, and we may suspend accounts that repeatedly infringe.
05Plans and payment

Song allowances reset on the first day of each calendar month. Unused songs do not carry over.
Paid plans are not yet available for purchase. When they are, prices and billing terms will be shown clearly before you pay, and this section will be updated with refund and cancellation terms.
We may change prices in future. Any change will be announced before it affects an existing subscription, and you can cancel rather than accept it.
06How audio is stored and removed
To keep the service affordable we convert uploads to a compact format and delete the original immediately. How long the converted audio is kept depends on your plan:

Your chord history is kept until you delete it. Do not rely on kords.in as your only copy of anything — keep your own files.
07Acceptable use
Please do not:
- Upload material you have no right to upload.
- Try to break, overload, probe or gain unauthorised access to the service or the server it runs on.
- Use automated tools to bulk-submit audio or scrape the service.
- Resell access, or share an account to avoid plan limits.
- Upload anything unlawful, or anything containing malware.
We may suspend or close accounts that do these things, and we will cooperate with lawful requests from authorities.
08Availability
We work to keep kords.in running, but we do not promise it will always be available or error-free. We may take it down for maintenance, change features, or discontinue parts of the service. If we ever shut down for good, we will give account holders reasonable notice and a chance to export their data.
The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows.
09Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost opportunity, or lost data arising from your use of kords.in. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer, this section does not affect your statutory rights.
10Ending your use
You can stop using kords.in at any time and ask us to delete your account at support@kords.in. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms. If we close your account without cause and you have paid for a plan, we will refund the unused portion.
11Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top will change, and for significant changes we will notify account holders by email. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the new terms.
12Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over disputes arising from them. If you are a consumer in another country, you keep the protections of your local law.
